The makers of Mollywood Times, starring Naslen K. Gafoor in the lead role, have officially announced a new release date for the film. The movie, directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak, will now release in theatres on June 5, 2026.
The film was earlier scheduled to hit screens on May 14, 2026, but the release has now been postponed.
Sharing the update on Instagram, actor Naslen wrote:
“We are coming, Mollywood Times on June 5, 2026.”
The film is produced by Ashiq Usman under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions.
Mollywood Times marks director Abhinav Sunder Nayak’s next project after Mukundan Unni Associates, which received strong appreciation from audiences.
A previously released announcement video hinted that Naslen plays a character named Vineeth Madhavan in the movie. The teaser showed Vineeth as a plus-two student from Kuttikanam who dreams of becoming a filmmaker someday.
The video also featured a letter written by the character to himself as an Oscar winner, emphasizing the idea that self-love is the best love.
The film has generated strong anticipation among Malayalam cinema audiences following the release of its promotional materials.
